Climbing the Wildspitze on 02-03.08.2025
The Wildspitze (3768m) is the highest mountain in North-Tirol and the second-highest mountain in Austria. It is located in the Ötztaler Alps.
We started our journey on Saturday the 2nd of August 2025 at 8am in the morning. The drive to the mountain village Vent brought us deep into the Ötztaler Alps. After stocking our supplies at a local supermarket and grabbing some breakfast we started the hike to our destination for the day, the Breslauer Hut (m). Is was a rainy, foggy day and we reached the hut after about X hours.
Our intended route was to climb the Wildspitze from Vent via the Breslauer Hut and the X-Scharte. For the first day, we planned to hike to the Breslauer Hut and stay overnight there.
The hike to the Breslauer Hut was about X km long and takes one up from the starting altitude of m to m, where the hut is located. The image above shows .
We were able to reach the hut around Xpm. The evening was spent in the pub in a nice conversation with a couple that attempted to cross the alps. The evening dinner consisted of a mushroom soup, dumplings with a vegetarian steak, and cinnamon yoghurt.
Our alarm clock went off at 4:30 am on Sunday, and we started the day with breakfast. The hike began at XX.
